Gawdesses Serve Middle TN through Crisis
This School year's focus has been entrepreneurship and community activism. Girls were divided into two service groups, one for Fundraising event planning and the other for Philanthropy planning. Under the leadership of Gawdess Nathaly and Gabrielle, the gawdesses organized a philanthropic effort to collect donations and food for the homeless.
As unpredictable as acts of God can be, two weeks before the official homeless service project happened, Middle TN was struck by another tornado primarily hitting the Clarksville and Madison TN areas. With the help of our families, communities and local businesses - we were able to meet the call of action and not only serve the unhoused of Nashville but also the displaced and tornado relief.
Thanks to businesses such as : Shugga Hi Bakery, Starbucks - Dominican Drive, Panera Bread - 21st ave, and El Fuego restaurant, the 2023 Gawdess were able to serve and feed over 300 Unhoused Nashvillians as well as supply and feed 35 Madison and Families affected by the Tornado!
